The US state of Florida might not see an online gaming legislation any soon as the Senate Gaming Committee has refused to pass the online poker bill that could have open the doors to this great industry. The country is going through several political and social changes and, gaming reform bills, are the latest news we are getting from the Land of Opportunity. Several states have already come out with their online gambling legislations to regulate this not that new market, like the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada. However, states like California and Florida, two of the most conservative states of the USA, are still struggling to put the online poker bill out there even when these states' residents are calling for new bill reforms.
In Florida, the Senate Gaming Committee has decided not to pass the online poker bill among the new gaming reform bill so the state will not see any new legislated online industry. The state of Florida is working on a new gaming bill to reopen the new regulated market with this Senate Proposed Bill 7052 that was released during the last month of February to come out with a reform that can bring the state’s gaming industry up to date. Bill 7052 would allow Florida's governor to renegotiate with the Seminoles Native American tribe to reform the new existing law. Online Poker rooms are left out as the bill proposes penalties to those businesses that will make use of electronic ways to wage online. Florida's Senate Gaming Committee has not considered online poker as essential as any other online games and now, the state of Florida, is going to face the consequences as residents of the state are already claiming the previously discussed measures to legalize online gambling, some of them, exposed to the residents of the state during several public hearings.
